It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gary William Jones Sr, Camden On Gauley, WV, January 25, 2022. Gary was born April 20, 1944 Elmira, New York to Kenneth W. Jones and Frances (Spencer) Jones. He is survived by 6 beautiful children: Gary Jones, Jr (St. Augustine, FL), Rhonda Jones (Las Vegas), Kristi (Chad) Townsend (Jacksonville, FL), Jodi (Doug) Powers (Indianapolis, IN), Greg (Valerie) Jones (Eastaboga, AL) and Jay Jones (New Orleans). Additional significant family members include Kristi and Frankie Derossett (St. Augustine, FL) and Brother, Dale (Melodie) Jones, 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, significant partner Audrey Jones, Brother Ted Jones and Sister Kay Jones.

Gary lived a full life, making many friends and living many different places around the country. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam era, and finally settled down in St. Augustine, FL 1974. While living in St. Augustine he raised his family, finished college, gradutated from Flagler College with a BA Degree and began a long career working for the National Park Service at the Castillo de San Marcos (Old Fort) in St. Augustine. After retiring Gary moved to West Virginia living there to the present day.

Final resting arrangements are coordinated with Morris Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV.
