Gary Ungerman was one of the best people I've ever known. The First time I met Gary was in sixth grade. He had organized a football game between Pomona and Northside. The next year, he invited me to a teen party at his house, chaperoned by his parents. We had so many good times over the years. I remember camping out overnight at Folsom Stadium to get the best space for the Doobie Brothers concert, and going clubbing as a group to Denver. Gary got a job at The Skunk Creek Inn in Boulder; he gave us all Mardi Gra beads after working the Dr. John concert. I had the honor of attending his wedding; what a fun- loving couple. I visited them at their house off Main Street in the mid 1970's, and watching SNL. While in Denver in 1999, I contacted Gary; he invited me his house, contacted other hometown friends, and had a party. Not long after, Gary invited me to a Bronco playoff game, John Elway's last season. These were special moments, good times orchestrated by a kind man with Great Depth, Character, and True Authenticity. Rest in Peace, Good Friend, hope to see you again in a place of no more tears and suffering. Deepest condolences to Dawn, and your Loving Family... Jimmy Quintana

Gary was such a strong advocate for the construction industry and a friendly face at the association. I am so grateful to have shared time on this earth with him. God bless your family while you navigate this difficult time.
