On the morning of September 19, 2020, Gary Leroy South of Bellflower, CA died at the age of 74.

Gary was born to Roy Hampton and Margaret Lucille South in 1946. Soon after his father passed, and was rasied throughout his life with his step-father Frederick Eugene Reed. Gary enlisted into the US Air Force and served our country during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge he received the US Air Force Good Conduct Medal. His career was dedicated to Computer Programming, where he retired after 25 years from Merle Norman Cosmetics.

He first married in 1974 to Carol and they had one daughter, Heather Suzanne. He re-married to Edelwina "Eden" in 1992 and together raised one son, Garrett Agustin, in Bellflower, CA.

Gary had many things that peaked his interest, and had a true entreapuerinerial spirit. Whether it be from antiques to the next electronic breakthrough Gary was bought in. He was known for his sense of humor, sometimes raunchy, and his overall friendliness and kind-hearted spirit.

Gary is preceded in death by his sister Judith Ann in August 2020. They are joining their parents and all 9 children in heaven. Gary is survived by his wife, Eden, his 2 children Heather and Garrett, and 2 grandchildren, James and Madison, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
