>Gary Smaltz, 85, of McDonald, OH, passed away on September 04, 2025.

>Gary was born on April 12th, 1940, to William Richard and Helen Smaltz in McDonald, Ohio. After graduating from McDonald High School, he went on to work as a scale repairman. In 1962, he met Norma, and they wed in 1964, going on to have 3 children, Sherry, Lori, & Gary. Gary was a force of nature; determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his children and Norma and always tried his best to support them. Gary was also a passionate Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians fan and could often be found fishing when he wasn’t at home. Anyone who knew Gary knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Gary was predeceased by his mother and father and his lovely wife Norma. He is survived by his children Sherry, Lori, & Gary and his grandchildren Allison, Lauren, Holly, William, Shawn, Michael, and Anthony. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to his daughter Sherry Smaltz address.
