Gary Lewis Krasner, 72, Advocate for Medical Freedom, Dies
Gary Krasner, a conservative health advocate and founder of the Coalition for Informed Choice (CFIC), died on May 31, 2025, in Queens, New York. He was 72.
He was born on January 17, 1953, in the Bronx, New York, to Bertha (née Fromer) and Charles Krasner.
The cause was complications related to cancer, said Irina Dzyubinsky, a close collaborator and friend.

Gary was laid to rest in a small private ceremony on the morning of June 1, at Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery in Woodridge, NY — just in time for those who attended to return home for Shavuot. The urgency of the burial, dictated by both holiday timing and Jewish custom, meant many people could not be there.
We will be organizing a 30-day memorial (Shloshim) for Monday, June 30, 2025 to honor Gary’s life and legacy. If you would like to attend or help contribute to the event, please email us at love@garykrasner.org.
