GJ was a skilled guitar player with a strong passion for rock music, especially Van Halen. He also drew creative artwork. GJ worked as a web design independent contractor. Later, he became a reporter for a local Montana newspaper.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting. GJ also hosted a music podcast and interviewed musicians.

GJ's memory will be cherished. He leaves a legacy of creativity and a passion for life.
