Gary Harrington, 76, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away on Sunday, April 21st, 2024. Born September 20, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edgar and Ruth Harrington (née Evenson), Gary was a graduate of Fairview Park High School, where he played trumpet and performed in theater. In his youth, Gary sang and played bass in popular local band The Tree Stumps, later transitioning to lead singer of Kicks, Inc. Gary parlayed these creative talents into a successful career in advertising, writing jingles and working in publications for many years.

Gary is survived by children Michele (husband John) Folaron (née Harrington) and Ron (wife Stephanie) Harrington, grandchildren Chase (wife Madi) Keeland and Katelyn Harrington, great-grandchildren James and George Keeland, and brothers Douglas and Donald Harrington.
