So sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. Gary and I were friends at Tulane. We knew Gary would become an accomplished architect, and I so enjoyed our time together. He designed an upgrade to the gardens at Monroe hall while a resident. My condolences to his family…

To say that “Garo” was my nephew cannot begin to explain what he was to me. He was also a mentor and a friend. He was the most kindest and dearest Father that some of us wish we had. His family came first and his career was recognized as one of the top architects in the country. To hear his laugh always made you feel warm. You were always blessed if he gave you advice and then when he gave you encouragement, you always knew he gave you a piece of his heart. I recently had the pleasure of sharing a ride in his convertible (more like wishing you would survive the ride), but you also knew that Garo was behind the wheel and everything would be okay, not to mention you wanted to kiss the ground when you finally returned to his home. I’ll always remember his home was filled with true and giving Love. When you were there you felt like you were at Home. I also have to thank Vicki for everything she has always done for her family and hope that the strength she receives from a God will help her heal. Garo May you Rest In Peace and know that the Love you take with you will last forever. God Bless. Love Always - Bevel (The BEEJ)
We are devastated to hear of this loss of such a great, funny , smart and loyal friend. The world is darker.
We are honored to have been in his life.
Much love to his precious wife and family,
Phil , Jancy & Braden
Shocked and so sad for Vicky and all the family- and Gary’s wide range of friends. We haven’t been touch through Ansley or church during this pandemic, which has also altered our traditions for mourning loss and celebrating life. However, I have had occasion to connect through an email liaison who has received funny political jokes/ insights from Gary during these sequestered times . 💜 Gay Haley
