I was so sad to read this obituary tonight. About two years ago or so, Gary showed up as a DNA match with multiple members of my family on both Ancestry and My Heritage. Since then, on and off, I have tried to work out our connection.
2 nights ago, I worked out how we were connected. We shared 4 x great Grandparents, who were born and lived in Denmark. Gary's branch immigrated to the US, and my branch immigrated to Australia. We also have shared cousins still living in Denmark, that I have met twice. (and they are lovely). I sent him an email to share with him what I have discovered, but unfortunately I was too late.
