Gary's obituary
Gary Michael Boozer Jr. was born on August 6th, 1978 to Gary Michael Boozer Sr. and Rosamond Kaye Boozer in Oklahoma City, OK. He grew up performing Martial Arts with his father, mother and older sister, Tammy Jane Boozer.
Gary Michael Boozer Jr. is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his sister, Tammy, his brother, Steven, his cousin, Brandon, his niece, Darian, his son George, his son Gary, his daughter Makayla and her mother Acacia.
He was a son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend to many, but the title that gave him the most pride was father.
He was a protector with a fiercely servant heart who fearlessly loved the Lord and served as the Director of Security at First Moore Baptist Church in Moore, OK where I believe it is safe to say that he touched hundreds upon hundred of lives.
Proud would be an understatement and amazed seems too small of a word to explain what he has built within his church and community. The only term that could even come close would have to be that The Booze was legendary.
He led his last Karate class the Thursday prior to his Final Journey and closed with a bible study on Psalms 103.
Psalms 103:1-5, “Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s”.
I urge you all to go out and Be Like Mike in the days to come. Be a blessing. Have a servant’s heart. Spread kindness. Protect those you love and fully embrace the Word of God and love Him endlessly.
