Garry's obituary

Garry J. Joos, aged 70, of Washington, IL passed away at OSF Medical Center on Sunday, November 3, 2024. He was born on February 3, 1954 to Emmanuel and Eileen Ropp Joos.

His parents, sister (Beverley) and brother (Danny) proceeded him in death. Garry graduated from East Peoria High School in 1972 and managed and retired from Red Carpet Car Wash. Working around the farm raising bees, chickens, turkeys, and growing a variety of native plants made him smile and gave him great pleasure.

He loved music, traveling, fast cars, and boating. He enjoyed getting together with friends for "poker nights" and fireworks at Elandorf. Collecting rocks and minerals was one of his many hobbies. Garry was a member of RockChurch and he will be missed greatly by his friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held on February 3, 2025 5-7pm at RockChurch (1081 Upper Spring Bay Rd, East Peoria, IL).

Contributions may be made to RockChurch in the memory of Garry J. Joos.
