Garnett Thomas Clary, 73, of Lawrenceville, Virginia, passed away on May 22, 2025 at
Jewish Hospital in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. He was born July 12, 1951, in
Richmond, VA, to the late Roy and Lillie Lynch Clary.

He was a painter for many years, alongside his parents, while also playing music at local venues as a member of several bands. He was a member of Matthews Chapel United Methodist Church in Brunswick County, VA and Bridgeport Christian Church in Frankfort, KY. He graduated from Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA).

Garnett was an avid fisherman, loved camping, was a grill master, and enjoyed spending time in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Watkins Clary, his daughter, Crystal Morris (Brandon), his sons, Josh Clary, Joseph Clary, and William Clary Sterner, as well as three grandchildren.
