Garland, A/K/A Zip Harman was an amazing man who loved his entire family. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Jo Alice for 41 years, and they are now together forever, reunited for eternity. He had a quick, sharp wit, an abundance of wisdom, and he tirelessly listened to all our stories. Dad was a kind, giving, thoughtful and supportive spouse, father, grandfather, brother and son. He loved to help, teach, laugh, and live a peaceful life. Our Dad wore many hats, including co-owning his own land surveying business, an assistant coach on some of our softball teams, a veteran, devoted spouse and overall Mr. Fixit-builder-creator-maker. Dad lived his life on his own terms and, in turn, he let his children live our lives in our ways, all the while loving and encouraging us no matter what. Our Dad will remain in our hearts as our eternal rock, and he will forever be missed and loved by all of us.
He is survived by his sister Sharon, his children Ramona, David, Cheryl and Jennifer, his grandchildren Michael, Stephen, Connor and Ryan and great-grandchildren Vanessa and Floriana
