Galette's obituary
Galette received her formal education graduating from George Washington Carver High School. She later attended the University of Houston Downtown earning her Bachelor's Degree, then went on to attend Prairie View A&M University earning her Master's. Finally completing her Doctoral degree in Education from Texas Southern University. As a young child, she also developed a love for acting. She continued to instill and mentor young individuals through many drama ministries.
Houston Community College System remained her employment for over 30 years until she retired. She later joined The National Women’s of Achievement Galena Park Houston Metroplex Chapter to support our youth.
Galette was a person who did not waste a minute of her day. She had a natural green thumb, nurturing plants and gardening in her free time. She enjoyed music and line dancing on the many cruises she took. Galette was also a fashionista who enjoyed shopping and adorning herself with beautiful hats, dresses, and jewelry. When she wasn’t shopping, she treasured her time with family and friends and made sure everyone was welcomed, but most of all, being a giver a heart, she took care of others and often thought of others before herself. Her beautiful smile, selflessness, strength, and grace will always be remembered and forever missed.
