Gala Treadway,  69, passed away on October 11, 2023. Gala lived in Oklahoma City, OK.

Gala Treadway went to be with the Lord after a long battle with health issues on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Gala was born December 29, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In Gala's younger years, she loved singing gospel hymns, cooking lasagna for her family, and playing cards. Gala spent her last years residing at South Pointe Rehab and Care Center where she served as the Resident Council President. As the council president, Gala spent her time advocating for all of the center's residents. One of her greatest achievements as the council president was getting vending machines placed in the facility so that the residents would have access to food outside of the cafeteria. This made a significant impact on the residents by giving them the opportunity to maintain their independence. Gala also started the "Coloring Club" at South Pointe which allowed the residents a place for them to come together and enjoy times of fellowship along with a creative outlet. They often worked on projects and participated in art contests. Gala never lost her love for gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Jackie Barnhill, sister, Diane, brother, Randy, and beloved son, Alan Blanton. Gala is survived by her sons Jason and Jeffery Magill, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her brother and his wife Rhonda, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is now at peace.
