Gail Ringelstetter of Sun Prairie and Deforest passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 12th at UW Hospital in Madison with family at her side

Gail was a graduate of Sun Prairie High School and the proud and loving mother of Lynné Oprish and grandmother of Ana and Valerie who brought great joy to her life. Her family and the many friends that knew Gail experienced her kindness, caring, and interest in others, never taking center stage and always cheering on those around her. They will remember her for her unconditional love and friendship, her compassion for others and gentleness, and her gratitude and happiness in life. She was a kind and caring mother, daughter, sister and aunt, and a soft steady light in an otherwise noisy world that is all too rare. She will be missed greatly.

Gail is survived by her mother, Marilyn Ringelstetter; daughter Lynné Oprish (Gabe), granddaughters Ana and Valerie of Lodi; her siblings Cheryl Caravello (Mark), Kim Van Wie (Laszlo), Jay Ringelstetter, Joel Ringelstetter (Shelley), Lisa Selensky (Richard) and her nieces and nephews. Gail is preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, George. Gail left this earth continuing to give to others; her cornea and tissue donations will help another 50-60 people.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
