Gail's obituary

Gail Marie Leach, age 71, passed away on October 21st 2021, in Carson, CA, unexpectedly, due to natural causes. Gail Marie is survived by her eldest brother Brian McKie, younger sister, Sarah Jane, and youngest brother, Claude Scott; her only loving son, Travis McPherson Leach and his loving wife Cynthia (Cindy) D. Leach; three beautiful grandchildren, Skyler Marie Leach, Star LaVonne Leach, and Anthony Daniel Zuliani; as well as three lovable fur babies, Dude, Beasty, and Flynn.

Gail Marie was born, Gail Marie Lowder, in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 9th, 1949 to Gale Phillip Lowder and Claudia Jane Peavy. Gail Marie was the second born and eldest daughter of four children. Gail Marie and her family moved around the Midwest during her elementary school days, living for short amounts of time in Havre, Montana and Scott's Bluff, Nebraska, also including a move back to Salt Lake City at one point. At about the age of 8 years old, the family packed up and made the big move to Torrance, California. Southern California remained Gail Marie's nesting place during the remainder of her life; excluding some short stays in other states, as well as, a short move to Thailand, with her ex-husband, during her 20's. Gail Marie began to settle down in her later 20's and landed back in Torrance, California; where she would give birth to her son Travis McPherson Leach, on September 17th, 1976.

Once Gail had settled back down in Torrance, CA, in her late 20's, (recently divorced and a single mother) she began working in the mortgage business. Starting off as a receptionist, she eventually worked her way up to Vice President of the former real estate company, American City Mortgage. After spending 20+ years working in the mortgage business, Gail Marie retired from career life in her 50's, to focus on her health and her family.

Gail Marie was a kind hearted, loving, and nurturing soul, who cared very much for her family, friends, pets, and the world around her. Gail Marie had a love for nature and beautiful flowers, and enjoyed nothing more than a beautiful sunny day with a nice breeze. Gail Marie was known to be quite crafty and knowledgeable when it came to DIY home improvement and took interest in sewing and DIY projects. She also had an overwhelmingly high interest and appreciation for cinema and television; old western, British murder mystery, Godzilla, and Lord of the Rings, being among some of her favorites.

Gail Marie, more so than anything, was and will forever remain, a woman of God and a devoted Christian. Gail Marie spent much of her retired life focusing on her spirituality and her love and faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For many years she was a devout member of Calvary Chapel South Bay; attending services regularly, where she met and made a few close friends that she kept dear to her heart.

It is because of Gail Marie's devoted Christian faith that I have decided to hold her services at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel at 570 W 5th St., San Pedro, CA 90731. Memorial services will be held from 10am-12pm, on Saturday, December 4th 2021, in loving memory of Gail Marie Leach.
