Gail always took the time to pet and say "hi" to Buddy, my dog.  He was a great help in getting Buddy's large shoulder/leg bandage changed every day for a week even though it was not much fun and I couldn't do it by myself.  Buddy behaved for him and stood still because of Gail's gentle guidance.

Just a tender moment.  A "nothing" moment.  No real action.  No drama.  Just two loving people after 64 years together.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences over Gail’s passing. He was a good man!

I associate memories of Gail with his grin. It seemed to precede him - and then hang in the air (Cheshire Cat-like) as he stepped away.  When we met in the science classrooms at SNU, I never imagined that he would be the father of my wonderful son-in-law.  Gail was always pleasant to be around, and a man of multiple talents and strengths and I shall miss him …
