Gail graduated from Highland Park High School in 1959. She then attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1963. Her early years in Dallas and her education there laid the foundation for a life marked by quiet strength and enduring family connections. 

 

She is lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Betsy Hailey of Los Angeles, California, and Judy Sanford of Austin, Texas; her brother, Andrew Forsythe, and sister-in-law Rosalinda Forsythe of Austin. Gail also leaves behind a devoted extended family that includes seven nieces, Kendall Hailey and husband Danny Miller, Alexis Sanford and husband Lars Frazer, Brooke Hailey, Mimi Buscemi and husband Brian, Elisa Eaton and husband James, Sophia Anderson and husband Stephen, and Gina Walker and husband Trent; one nephew, Joe Forsythe and partner Vinny Mandes; seven grandnieces, Léah Miller and husband Rocky Cohen, Tess Frazer, Hallie Egan, Josie Frazer, Franny Egan, Emma Eaton, and Ayla Anderson; and four grandnephews, Charles Miller, Will Eaton, Jude Anderson, and Sam Anderson. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers-in-law, Oliver Hailey and Marion “Rocco” Sanford, and a grandnephew, Oliver Miller.

 A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 5PM to honor Gail’s life. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
