Gail's obituary

Gail Boerner, 87, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was born on October 23, 1935, in Rochester, New York, the only child of Gordon and Gertrude Hammond.

Gail is survived by her sons Thomas, David, and Steven, daughter-in-laws Lissette and Marie, and grandchildren, Daphne, Bianca, and Katherine.

She had many friends and activities that kept her on the go. She was an excellent bridge player and played as often as she could. She had another group of friends for playing pinochle. To really know Gail is to know she had a great sense of humor and was always on the go.

After the death of her husband, Don Boerner, Gail was determined to be active. She loved to travel and took a trip by herself to Italy! Among other trips, she went to California with her friend touring the wine country. Gail was an avid sports fan of Ohio State football and rarely missed attending or watching games.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Episcopal. She sang in the choir, served on the altar guild, and was involved in the Holy Trinity knitting group that made prayer shawls.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 199 Barcelona Road, Hot Springs Village, AR with interment in the Holy Trinity Memorial Garden where she will join her husband, Don.

There will be a reception to follow.

She has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sloan Kettering Cancer Research and to the Holy Trinity Memorial Service.
