It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gabriel Avila, a man of profound kindness, and loyal attendee of St. Mary Church. Gabriel was born on August 20, 1983, and departed from this life on April 3, 2024. His friendly personality and quiet strength will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Gabriel left a profound impact on everyone he crossed paths with, particularly within the St. Mary Church community. He found great peace and solace within the hallowed halls of the church, often seen walking around the local area, always in his favorite color, black. His abiding faith was a testament to his spiritual strength.

Known best for his friendly demeanor, Gabriel had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. He had a heart full of compassion and kindness that never failed to touch those around him. His favorite form of exercise was walking and he took great pleasure in soaking in the sights and sounds of his beloved local spots.

Though Gabriel is no longer with us, his legacy of kindness lives on. He has left an indelible mark of love and generosity that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His niece, Sandra Avila, survives him, along with countless friends and members of his church community who loved and cherished him.

The void left by Gabriel's passing can never be filled. However, his life reminds us to be kind, to be friendly, and to treat every moment as a precious gift. His spirit will continue to live on through the love and memories we shared with him.
