It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Freshteh Farrokhi on April 19, 2026. Born on February 8, 1946, Freshteh lived a vibrant life defined by quiet strength, deep kindness, and an unwavering love for her family.

A devoted sister, mother, and grandmother, Freshteh was, above all, a force of her own. As a single mother, she raised her beloved daughter, Roshanak Rafie, on her own — providing not just for every need, but for every dream. Her strength was never loud; it lived in the steady, daily acts of care that shaped a whole family. To know Freshteh was to be met with warmth, generosity, and a heart that always had room for one more.

Though our sorrow is great, we celebrate the life she built and the love she poured into everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in her daughter, her family, and all who were fortunate enough to be in her circle.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Freshteh's memory to Keep Children in School Foundation (KCIS), a cause that reflects the values she lived by — the belief that every child, no matter their circumstances, deserves the chance to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Like Freshteh herself, KCIS stands behind children who need someone in their corner.
