Frederick “Rick” Paul Adams, a man who truly loved life and brought laughter wherever he went, passed away on June 20, 2025. Born on March 24, 1946, in Dearborn, Michigan, to the late Frederick D. Adams and Virginia E. (née Carroll), Rick embraced each chapter of life with warmth, humor, and an open heart.

Rick’s adventurous spirit led him across the country and around the world. He made homes in Alaska, Oregon, Saudi Arabia, Texas, and Arizona before returning to Michigan, where his journey first began. Along the way, he collected stories, friendships, and experiences that enriched his life and the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his loving sons: Scott Adams, Brian (Emily) Adams, and Kevin (Sonya) Adams, and stepdaughter, Patricia (Robert) Moeller. Though divorced, Rick shared a lasting friendship with his first wife and the mother of his children, Ginette Adams, who remained a supportive presence in his life.

Rick was a proud grandfather to Jacob (Amber), Alissa, Ethan, Ryan, Augustus, Tristan, Riley, Natalie, and Cooper, and a great-grandfather to Jovie. He is also survived by his sister Marsha (Doug), who, along with many other extended family members and friends, will carry his memory forward with love.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Ingrid; daughter-in-law, Stacey; brother, Mark Adams; and sister, Gayle Clancy.

A man of many interests, Rick enjoyed bowling and billiards, but his greatest passion was golf. He was most at peace on the green, where he made countless friends and even more laughs. His sense of humor and easy charm made every round of golf more memorable. Among those closest to him was his best friend, Patrick, who provided unwavering support.

Rick will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love for life, his stories, his laughter, and his generous spirit will never be forgotten.
