So sad that we won't have Rick around while we wait for our turn to meet Jesus. There are few people I feel I can honestly say I felt "loved" just being in his presence.  And then he'd say something to make me laugh and then I knew I was loved!  Have fun with Jesus up there dear friend! 🤗🥰

I'm so sorry for the loss of Rick. I'll always think of him whenever  Easter rolls around.  He inspired me to be a better Christian by reaching out to others.
Diane you and Rick were ever so present in my life and bring my family into the fold in Redwood UMC..our lives were forever changed . My birthday buddy,Rick was literally a saving grace for my spiritual journey. I hold you both so close and dear to my heart. After all the nosie is gone is when we find our self contemplating on the footprints of the heart that Rick left us with. Praise be to God that Rick went home in a way that he wanted. He was a true Disciple of Christ. May you and the children find comfort knowing Your love went with Rick and his is embedded in your very soul. Blessings Issy
Rick was a very special person to both Bill and I. Bill went on a mission trip to Ethiopia with Rick. I believe the purpose was to put in a new well, but to both Rick and Bill it was always about the people. Bill came home with stories, like how they were in a boat only feet away from the hippos and alligators, and Tom decided to toss rocks at them (I was always glad he was home when he told these stories!) and I worked with Rick at Redwood Christian Park when he was dean of July Family Camp. I had the utmost love and respect for this gentle man, who pastored us all with such care and who genuinely showed us the love of Jesus. I find it ironic that Rick went to be with the Lord just a day after Bill…I’ve often thought how curious God’s timing. Our thoughts and prayers, Diane to you and the kids…one day we will rejoice and be together once again! May  God comfort and bind your hearts in His strong loving arms.
