Frederick “Fred” Deil, 66, of Rochester, NY, passed away on August 20, 2025.

Fred was born on March 7, 1959, in Rochester, NY. Family was the most important part of his life, and he found great joy in spending time outdoors. Whether gathering with loved ones or enjoying nature, Fred’s warmth and love touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia "Patty"; his son, Justin Smith; his daughters, Terri (Dusty) Stroup and Chrissie (Casey) Hagmier; and his cherished grandchildren, CJ, Madeline, Colson, Terra, and Tucker.

A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lipson Cancer Center in Rochester, NY, in his memory. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, for their exceptional care in Fred’s final days.
