Frederick's obituary
Fredrick “Fred” Davis, born on June 5, 1967, passed away surrounded by the love of his family after courageously battling health challenges in recent years. Fred lived a life full of adventure, friendship, and unforgettable stories. He had a natural gift for connecting with people, and those who knew him will remember his big heart, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Fred spent much of his career as a tow truck driver, and he took immense pride in his work. He was also a talented mechanic who loved working on cars—often with music playing, tools scattered, and a smile on his face. His hands were always busy, but his heart was always open.
Throughout his life, Fred experienced trials and tribulations, yet he faced each challenge with determination and strength. His greatest joy came from his family. He was the loving father of Melissa and Andrew, and a proud grandfather to Amelia, Easton, and Oliver, who brought him endless happiness. His beloved dog Jada was his constant companion, sharing countless adventures and giving him comfort every step of the way.
Fred cherished his years living in Colorado, where he embraced the mountains, the open road, and the freedom to explore. Traveling was one of his true passions, and he carried a deep appreciation for the beauty of life’s journey.
In his final years, Fred fought hard through ongoing health struggles. His daughter Melissa remained by his side through his many hospital stays, offering steadfast love and support. In his final days, Fred wished for comfort and the presence of those he loved most. He was surrounded by his daughter, son, and son-in-law, who held him close and ensured he was never alone.
Fred’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the SSM Health care teams in Fond du Lac and Madison for their exceptional care and compassion. They especially thank the CNAs, nurses, and kitchen staff who brightened Fred’s days—always making sure he received his generous servings of raspberry sherbet, chocolate chip pancakes, and his essential black coffee each morning.
Fred will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered for his strength, kindness, and the joy he brought into the lives of others
