Exciting update for those in the Birch Bay/Blaine area. On Tuesday, Dec 12th, Woods Coffee Birch Bay will be helping us remember my dad on a local level. If you stop by there on Tuesday, you can get a free coffee on us, in memory of my dad. Woods Coffee was his daily hang out, some days he spent hours there! Towards the end, the staff there was keeping a close eye on him and letting us know when it seemed like things were off. We are so grateful that they took care of him in this way, and provided him with a warm, safe, and social environment. When I mentioned he should be laying off caffeine and dairy, they offered to soft-sell him on dairy alternative drinks (hence his addiction to soy lattes!) We think it's only fitting that we share his memory by giving the Woods customer's a complimentary coffee in his name! Have not forgotten about the proper memorial - likely in late spring 2024, but I have not really been able to wrap my head around planning that yet - been pretty busy with holidays and wrapping up all the business that comes with passing.
