Freddie Alvin Merrick II, aged 54, passed away on October 20, 2024. Freddie was born on March 28, 1970, to the late Freddie Alvin Merrick and Beverly Wilson. Known for his spirit and resilient nature, Freddie lived a life marked by love for his family and a dedication to those he cared about deeply.

Freddie was predeceased by his parents, his sister Sherry Merrick, and his brother Donlad Merrick. He is survived by his brothers, Louis Merrick and Chance Merrick, who will always cherish their close relationship and shared memories. Freddie was a devoted father to his children, Meshell Hall Merrick and Freddie Alvin Merrick III, and was immensely proud of them. His life was further enriched by his cherished grandchildren: Hunter Merrick, Kandyce Hall, Ava Hall, Kynslee Gatewood, Carter, Harlie Merrick, and Mattew Merrick.

Freddie shared years of family life with his ex-wife, Marsha Nicole Merrick, with whom he had Meshell and his late daughter, Leeann Merrick. He also shared a chapter of his life with his ex-wife, Laura Boubts, with whom he had his son, Freddie Alvin Merrick III.

Freddie valued his family above all, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a profound void.

A private service will be held in Freddie’s honor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that loved ones celebrate his life by cherishing their memories and holding their families close.
