I remember Aunt Freda and Uncle Hubert as actually my wife, Cheryl Newhouse, -Aunt and Uncle because Mary Newhouse,Cheryl’s mom, was Aunt Freda sister. They were two of the kindest loving people I ever met! I am so blessed to be able to see them again in Heaven soon! My deepest condolences to all the family in the painful separation from her until the day we are all reunited again. In my prayers 🙏 GOD BLESS..... John Quintus

Losing you mawmaw has been one of the hardest situations I've been in. There isn't a day that goes by that you aren't on my mind.  You were the best grandmother anyone could have asked for. You were always there for me no matter what, I knew i could always count on you. I have so many memories with you which  help me when I'm feeling down. I spent a lot of my life with you at your house .. you would get up early to fix me fried eggs and toast with butter and grape jelly. You fed me until I was in like 7th grade. We would go to Kmart on Patrick street and you would get me a soft pretzel and blue raspberry slushie from the Cafe. We went to Young's department store, Thaxton Drug Store where you worked, Faschek from Falcon Drive and the gas station where they pumped the gas for you, oh and we went to buddy b's. We always got pinto beans with onions and a side of cornbread. You took me to see the waterfalls and we ate at a lot of diners. We went to church on Martins Branch. We would watch tv shows together, we had a scheduled routine. We would watch soap operas, judge Judy, the Andy Griffith show, ripley's believe it or not, america's most wanted, and so on. The last show we watched for the day was Nancy Grace. It came on at 11 p.m we always went to sleep at 11:30p.m/12 a.m. I always slept with you in your room. I slept up against the wall. I would get scared of the dark but you always had my back. I knew I was safe with you.  I dream about you almost every night. Jay is saddened by the loss of you too. We like to play certain songs to remind us of you, or smell your favorite perfume. We miss you so much and will always love you deeply. Thank you for being so great to my son and I.
