Fred Dana Teaster
June 25, 1940 – April 12, 2026
Fred Dana Teaster passed away on Saturday April 12, 2026, at the age of 85.
Fred was born on June 25, 1940, in Elizabethton Tennessee to the late Albert and Dorothy Tipton Teaster.
He was preceded in death by his sons Fred Dana Teaster Jr. and Michael Curtis Teaster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Younce, Wilma Grimstead, Linda Church and brother Richard Teaster.
Surviving is his daughter, Deborah Jeanne Robinson of Wendell, NC and Daughter-in-law Tammy Cullipher of Virginia Beach, VA. Grandchildren, Amy Stotesberry, Kristen Owen, Kelsey Heuneman, Kenneth Teaster, and Katelyn Teaster. Greatgrandchildren, Kaegan Sadler, Ally Sadler, Richard (Jr.) Owen, Hazel Owen and Willow Owen.
Fred proudly served in the United States Navy, retiring after years of dedicated service to his country. He continued to share his knowledge by becoming an knowledge by becoming an Aviation Electronics Instructor.
He enjoyed Carolina basketball and had a taste for the finer things in life. He will be fondly remembered for the simple, comforting moments—often found relaxing in his recliner with a glass of wine, always ready to welcome family and friends.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
