Fred known to our family as “Uncle Fred” will be dearly missed. He always had a way to keep you laughing. He was always available to help our dad with anything dad would be doing. He and his boys even traveled to Arkansas to help daddy rebuild our grandparent’s home on the farm. I love to hear our dad tell the stories about how he first met Uncle Fred. I have so many memories of our families through the years. The best memories I have are the ones of Daddy and Uncle Fred always having a great friendship and they always visited either by telephone or in person. I always smiled when we would be at the farm and I would answer the phone and hear “ What’s John doing?” I loved the fact that he would want to chat with daddy no matter where daddy was.
He had a great love for his wife, his sons and his grandchildren.
We are here for the family just call us and we will be there.

Fred and his family has meant so much to our family. My dad( John Jernigan) didn’t have a son only daughters. So Fred “shared “ his sons with dad.
There are so many funny stories he shares about y’all working on jobs. I know there were ups and downs working with Fred and our dad but now they are memories to hold on too.
Fred could get our mom agitated faster than anyone I know. All in fun:)
He will be missed and always loved and respected. Love to all the Shelton family.
Always know we are here for you. Dad sits and cries missing his best friend. Feeling cheated that they didn’t have more time. This is truly a tough part of life. He said he feels everyone is leaving him…. Until they meet again!!!!
