Ken's obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Fred Keener (Ken) Fallaw, Jr. of Stockbridge, GA. He died at age 87 on August 14, 2023. Ken passed after a long battle with kidney and heart disease.
Ken was born in Augusta, Georgia on April 16th, 1936. He grew up in Augusta where he attended Richmond Academy. Ken was a corporal in the US Marines and fought in the Korean War. He worked for the Federal Energy Administration and worked in disaster relief during the Kentucky and Pennsylvania floods in the 70's. He was named a Kentucky Colonel for his efforts during that time. He later worked for HUD as a contracting officer and retired from HUD. Upon retirement, he and his wife started Creative Wholesale Distributors. At one time, he had three independent craft stores in Forest Park, Fayetteville, and Macon. GA. The company is now an online sales company located in Stockbridge, GA. Ken was an avid golfer and loved going to the Masters tournament in his hometown. He also loved fishing and spent much of his time fishing over the years, especially at his lake house on Lake Blackshear. He loved his family and enjoyed all his many friends and their time and travels together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Keener Fallaw Sr. of Augusta, GA, his mother, Flora Del Durden Siegler of Augusta, GA, his step-mother, Myrtis Rhodes Fallaw of Augusta, GA, his brother Nick Prince of Jacksonville, FL, his brother Ronnie Prince of Pratt, KS, and his sister, Nancy Prince Naylor of Augusta, GA.
His is survived by his wife loving wife, Sheila Holden Fallaw of Stockbridge, GA, his son, Ricky (Machele) Fallaw of Braselton, GA., his daughter, Sherri Fallaw Gamble of McDonough, GA., his son Todd (Angie) Fallaw, of Stockbridge, Ga. and his many grandkids and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be on Thursday, August 24, 2023 (from 5pm-8pm) at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, GA. (per their dress code, no jeans with holes, t shirts or cut off shorts will be allowed)
