Franky Valera was born in the Bronx, New York, on November 10, 1982. He was the first born child of Santiago Valera and Berta Ciriaco. After his parent’s passing, he was adopted by his aunt, Maria L. Valera and uncle, Guadencio Valera.

Later in life, Franky relocated to his second home in Pennsylvania but continued traveling to the Bronx. He was full of Mexican pride, loved to cook for his family, and was a very hard worker.

The unexpected passing of Franky deeply impacted his loved ones. He is dearly missed.

He is survived by, Latasha Valera; his sons, Santiago Santana Valera, Franky Bishop Valera, and Makaveli Valera; his granddaughter, Kalani Nova-Faith Johnson; his nephews, Justin Roman and Joseph Weston; his sister, Janet Hoyte-Weston; his brother-in-law, Jaeo Weston and his cousins/adopted Valera siblings.

The viewing and funeral will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home from 5p.m. - 8p.m.
