Frank's obituary

Franklyn Warren Seems Jr., 56, of Bayville, passed away suddenly on March 8, 2026.

A devoted father, loving partner, and hardworking businessman, Frank lived a life defined by family, loyalty, and the immense love and devotion he carried for his son.

Born in Neptune, New Jersey on the Fourth of July, Frank was raised in Wall Township, where he spent much of his life before later making his home in Bayville. Proud of both his birthday and his country, he carried a deep appreciation for the values it represented throughout his life.

In his younger years, Frank worked many seasons as a bouncer at D’Jais, the iconic Jersey Shore nightclub, where he formed lasting friendships and shared many unforgettable memories. A man who genuinely loved being outdoors, he later built a career doing what he loved as the owner and operator of Seems Landscape Design LLC, which he founded in 1998. Through nearly three decades of dedication to his craft, Frank left a lasting mark across Monmouth and Ocean counties, creating outdoor spaces that will continue to be appreciated for years to come.

Outside of work, Frank found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted sports fan who proudly cheered for his beloved Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. In recent years, he also became an enthusiastic supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide, making frequent trips to Tuscaloosa to visit his son at the University of Alabama and cheer on the team together. In his downtime, he could often be found out on his boat or relaxing by a fire in his backyard, cigar in hand, enjoying the quiet moments.

More than anything, Frank cherished being a father. His son, Frankie, was the center of his world. Whether spending time on the water, cheering on their favorite teams, or simply sharing everyday moments, Frank’s love and pride for his son was evident in everything he did. Over time, their relationship grew beyond that of father and son, evolving into a close friendship built on admiration, laughter, and unwavering support.

Frank also shared a deep and meaningful life with his devoted partner of 20 years, Jennifer Cheek. Together they enjoyed concerts, dinners out, long drives in his Mustang with the top down, and quiet nights at home watching movies, sports, and their favorite shows.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Franklyn and Joan Seems.

He is survived by his beloved son, Franklyn “Frankie” Seems; his loving partner, Jennifer Cheek, with whom he shared two decades of life and memories; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Those who knew Frank will remember his strong work ethic, his love of sports, and his ability to enjoy life and share a good laugh. But above all, they will remember the immense love and pride he carried for his son, Frankie. Being his dad was the role he cherished most, and one he embraced with his whole heart every day of his life.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
