Franklyn's obituary
Franklyn Gray was born on May 24th 1968 to Constance and Leonard Gray in Los Angeles, California. Franklyn was a twin, but sadly his twin sister, Karen Marie, passed away 10 minutes after her birth. His mother affectionately called him Pooh and described him as determined, lovable, and a little rascal.
He grew up in Pacoima, California. During his early teen years, his family moved to Pasadena, California where he lived for the next 10 years. Franklyn married Sonia in 1989 and they had two daughters together, Victoria and Savannah.
Franklyn dedicated his life to Jehovah on July 4th 1987. His love for Jehovah and his spiritual brothers and sisters was constant until the end. He was a kind-hearted person and treated everyone like family. He called the congregation his family. As much as he loved his friends and everyone around him, Franklyn loved his family even more. Family was an important facet of his life.
Franklyn had an infectious laugh, always making everyone around him light up. He was hilarious…if he wasn’t making up funny stories and pulling little pranks, he was laughing so hard at his own jokes that he would make himself cry. These are some of the memories most cherished by his daughters. He also taught his daughters to help others in need. He was willing to give the shirt off his back and he would employ anyone who needed work. He even washed cars for some of the friends in the congregation.
He loved cooking, fishing, listening to music, watching movies and going to the beach. Franklyn married Jo in 2018 and they lived in Chino, California until his death.
Franklyn passed away on May 24, 2023. He is survived by his wife Jo, his daughters Victoria and Savannah, his mother Connie, his sister Robyn, his brother Bob as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a stepdaughter.
