Franklin's obituary

Franklin D. Selman (Frank)
passed away peacefully at an assisted living facility February 14th, 2020 after a long illness of heart disease, kidney disease and diabetes. He was born 11/27/36 to Royal Richmond Selman and Rebecca Eliza Olsen in Payson, Utah. He is the youngest of 11 children. He is survived by sisters Joan, Mary Lee and Georgia. He joined the United States Army in January 1958 which sent him to Alaska for 2 years. He married Patsy Ruth Griggs (Patt) on January 13, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They moved to Arizona in the spring of 1963. Frank spent many years as a finance manager which took him and his family to Oklahoma and Texas. They ultimately moved back to Arizona for good. He loved to travel, especially to Utah, California and Laughlin, Nevada. Tennis was his passion and he would go to the Phoenix tennis center daily to play and travel in and out of the state for tennis tournaments. He loved St. George, Utah where he traveled for senior tennis games every October.
He is survived by his wife Patt , 2 children Kellie (Jeff), Daniel, 5 grandchildren Candice, Melissa, Joey, Amy and Tyler and 4 great grandchildren.
