Keith's obituary

Franklin Keith Myers, lovingly known as Keith, passed away on April 12, 2025, in Moberly, Missouri, at the age of 61. Born on August 31, 1963, in Macon, Missouri, Keith lived a life full of love, creativity, and devotion to his family.

Keith was the beloved son of Lawrence Myers and his stepmother Joyce Myers. He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Leathers, his sister Julie Myers and his son in law Cody Parshall.

Throughout his life, Keith embraced family with open arms and an open heart. He shared a beautiful life with his "Babe" Marceda Teter, whose love inspired many of his most cherished moments.

He was a father to Joe Myers and Tabatha Myers—each blessing him with three grandchildren; Karrie Parshall, who gave him eight grandchildren; Tj Stanfield with three grandchildren; Maria Boone and her husband Jason Boone with two grandchildren; and Cole Burns. Keith’s legacy continues through four great-grandchildren already born and two more expected soon. Keith is also survived by his siblings Kevin Myers and wife Teresa; Rick Cline and wife Carol; and Rob Cline and wife Sandy. His extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and others who were touched by his warmth and generosity.

Keith had a remarkable ability to bring people together. He stepped into the role of bonus dad and papa with grace and wholehearted love he loved them as his own from the very start—becoming a guiding light for many who were lucky enough to call him family. His presence was a source of comfort and joy for those around him. A man of many talents, Keith had a passion for drawing that revealed both skill and soul. His artwork reflected not only talent but also the depth of his imagination. Equally gifted in music, he possessed a voice that could move hearts—especially when he sang to Marceda. Those who heard him sing will forever carry the sound in their memories. Keith found joy in simple pleasures: collecting M&Ms—a hobby sparked by Marceda. To honor Keith’s life and legacy, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. All are welcome to join in remembering this beloved spouse, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend. A balloon release will be held during the celebration; those wishing to participate are encouraged to bring a balloon or let the family know in advance. Keith will forever be missed but never forgotten.
