Frankie's obituary

Frankie Hughes Lollar

November 8, 1940 – June 17, 2025

Frankie Hughes Lollar, 84, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. Born on November 8, 1940, and raised in Mansfield, LA, Frank lived a full and fearless life — one marked by laughter, generosity, and a love for both people and adventure.

A natural storyteller with a sharp wit and a twinkle in his eye, Frank made friends everywhere he went. His kind and giving heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Whether he was cracking a well-timed joke or showing up with a helping hand, he made life brighter for the people around him.

Frank served in the U.S. Army, where he literally jumped into life — parachuting out of planes and leaning into every adrenaline rush he could find. That bold spirit followed him throughout his years. He loved water skiing, kayaking, and anything that gave him a thrill. He lived with intention — never afraid to take a leap, whether off a dock or into a new opportunity.

Frank attended Texas A & M University and Centenary College.

He began his career in sales, but truly found his niche in real estate. Frank had a knack for connecting with people and a gift for making things happen — always with a smile and a joke in his back pocket.

More than anything, Frank loved his family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Belle Kelly Lollar; his father, LB Lollar; and his sister, Sandra Lollar Cosby. He is survived by his sons, Cole Lollar (Rae Lynn) and Wade Lollar; granddaughters, Ainsley Britain (Justin Glenn) and Tory Lollar; grandsons, Cade Lollar and Slade Lollar; and great grandchildren, Goldie and Truett Glenn. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Mayme Rascoe Binning; nieces, Lynda Craig (Tommy) and Shelly Lewter (Shane); brother-in-law, Jay Cosby; great niece and great nephew, Brooke Cassel (Billy) and Linkin Lewter; and great great nephew, Mixon Mik.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Sunday, July 20, 3:30 PM, at LDC Events, 1493 US 171, Stonewall, LA. Family and friends are invited to come share stories, laughter, and the love he gave so freely.

Frank lived boldly, laughed loudly, and loved deeply. His absence leaves a space that can’t be filled, but his spirit lives on in every life he touched. May we all find peace in knowing that Frank is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
