Frank Mayo, January 18, 1943 – June 28, 2025

Frank Mayo of Fairfield, California passed away on June 28, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. A native of San Mateo, Frank received both his undergraduate degree and law degree at the University of San Francisco. He started his legal career as an assistant district attorney in Kings County and then entered private practice in Santa Clara County.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Mayo and Catherine Mayo. Frank is survived by his his spouse, Susan Brooks of Fairview, Tennessee, his sister, Erin Makarczyk (Carl), brother, Terence Mayo (Mary) and several nieces and nephews.

An avid sailor, Frank skippered his boat for many years and also enjoyed his travels to China France and Italy, gardening and his two labradoodles. Frank was known to his family by the nickname “Duke”. Frank was admired by those who knew him for his infectious laugh and mischievous sense of humor. Most of all, Frank loved to cook and would spend hours preparing lavish holiday meals for his family.

A private Mass celebrating Frank’s life will be held.
