Frank's obituary
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Frank "Frankie" Marino, Sr., fondly known as "Frankie", but preferred "Frank". Born on April 3,1954, Frank left us too soon on May 10, 2024. He was a beloved brother, father, and grandfather.
Frank leaves a rich legacy in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his sons Frank Marino, Jacob Marino, and Sam Marino, his daughter Kelli Rogers. Sorrow is also shared by his daughters-in-law Daisy Marino, Melanie Marino, Porsha Marino and son-in-law Wayne Rogers. His siblings Roselee Ergenbright, Marilyn Hutchison, Jody Simonson, Michael Marino, Tony Marino, Francine Stanley, Sally Wheat, and their spouses, also share in the family's loss.
Frank was predeceased by his devoted wife Cathy Twiner Marino, his mother Sara Parigi Marino, and his father Frank Marino. He exchanged wedding vows with Cathy in the year 1979, and together they built a home with their four children.
Frank lived most of his life in the Beaumont area and was a "greenie" at South Park High School, Beaumont, TX. He was a proud grandfather to his lovely grandchildren Maverick Marino, Ayden Kelley, Sophia Marino, Maggie Marino, Peyton Ebner, Abri Marino, Kendra Marino, Zoie Marino, Ava Ebner, Jaxon Marino, and Aubree Marino.
Frank had an eclectic mix of passions. He enjoyed a cold Dr Pepper while listening to George Jones and Willie Nelson. An avid film buff, he loved the iconic movies "Godfather" and "Scarface", and he was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys and also the New Orleans Saints. His favorite recreational activities were walking, camping, traveling, laughing with friends, and fishing.
He was best described as warm, witty, funny, and calm. Always ready with a piece of advice, his mantra was "Enjoy life and live it to the fullest". He also had many talents and learned things very quickly. He was a very skilled welder, a very talented artist, gardener, painter, and carpenter. His legacy of kindness and adventure will be carried on by those fortunate enough to have known him--Frank never met a stranger anywhere he went!
In honor of his memory, let's celebrate Frank's life by living ours to the fullest, just as he would have wanted us to do. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. There will not be a public service as the family has elected to do a an intimate ceremony with just immediate family.
