How you can help
Frank was good to all of us. He was musically very talented, and had a heart that emanated so much warmth and love and lots of excellent humor. The last fundraiser we did for Frank was to move him from SF to New Hampshire, to live with Holly, the mother of his child, and his son Alejandro, as well as Franks other chosen son of Hollys, Mattias. He was beginning to have health problems, and we all thought it best he be with family. Especially Holly, who was so very experienced as a home health aide.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, beloved Holly died suddenly. Franks health worsened, and due to the financial woes of the two sons though they did all they could, his health took a dramatic turn for the worse.
Frank was admitted to a New Hampshire hospital but quickly rushed to Hartford Connecticut as his condition was severe and needed better care. He was given a full blood transfusion, and was too fragile to perform surgery for all the other issues. Frank was diagnosed with colon cancer, pneumonia, and dementia. The hospital staff was wonderful but there was only so much they could do. Frank passed peacefully.
Alejandro and Mattias have no more family left on the east coast, and have extremely limited income due to the lack of security guard jobs in their area. They are barely getting enough food to eat, have no car, and certainly cannot afford these funeral expenses.
Any amount donated will go directly to the funeral expenses, and no amount is too small. We are so grateful for any help we can get!
Let’s remember Frank for all he taught us…to laugh at oneself regularly, to love one another like family, to be fearless in your honesty, and to practice good self care. Contribute
