Frank V. Adkins, age 62 of Anchorage, Alaska passed away April 3, 2019. Beloved father, son and brother, Frank was born on March 13, 1957 in Lodi, California to Marla Lock & Frank Adkins.

He is survived by his sister Mary Jo Adkins and brother Leslie Adkins; his children Frank Joel Adkins, Frank Vance Adkins, and Sally Christine Adkins - foli; His grandchildren Troy Adkins, Draven Adkins, Lacey Adkins, Anthony Adkins, Jacob Adkins, Wade Adkins, Jakob Adkins, Keegen Jones, Paiden Jones, Kyle Jones, Temperance Jones, Jaxson Jones and his great-grandchildren Lucas Adkins and Sage Adkins.

Frank is preceded in death by his aforementioned father and mother, and his daughter Marla Adkins.

Frank moved to Alaska as a child where he spent the remainder of his life. He entered the military service in his late twenties as a Private, Infantry Airborne Ranger of the 82nd Battalion. He earned several different badges and was a decorated soldier. During his time in the service he was injured in combat operations and was rendered medically unable to continue service.

Most of his life after military service was spent as a commercial fisherman, operating a fleet of fishing vessels, all of which he owned, during the time of the Exxon oil spill in Valdez, Alaska. His true passion was fishing and boating, but also had a flare for computers. He graduated from college with honors in 2016 with a bachelor's in computer science after which he became a beloved and dedicated employee of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

His service to our country will never be forgotten.

He will be missed by his family and friends greatly and with God's grace will live on forever in our hearts.

Military honor services will be held on April 16, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Richardson cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at his home on April 20, 2019 at 3 p.m.
