Francisco's obituary

Francisco Xavier Sánchez Egas, de 43 años de edad, de Miami, Florida, falleció el Sábado 3 de Octubre del 2020, después de una dura batalla contra el cáncer.
Francisco, Piqui o Pancho como lo llamaban cariñosamente, nació el 4 de Noviembre de 1976, en Guayaquil, Ecuador. Después de graduarse del colegio Liceo Panamericano en el año 1995, estudió “Filosofía y Letras” en la “Universidad Católica de Guayaquil”.
En el año 1989, en Guayaquil, conoció a Noemí García Jalil (Emi), cuando aun eran adolecentes, y se enamoraron. Ella sin embargo tuvo que irse con su familia a vivir a los Estados Unidos. Luego se reunieron en el 2004, y se casaron poco tiempo después en el mismo año. Tuvieron dos hijos, Santiago y Mateo.
Piqui fue precedido por su hijo Mateo. Lo sobreviven su esposa Emi, su hijo Santiago, sus padres Francisco y Maritza, su hermana Pamela, y sus hermanos David y Pablo.
Piqui vivió una vida plena, dedicada a su familia. Fue un amante esposo y devoto padre. Siempre lo recordaremos por ser cariñoso, por su sentido del humor y su amor por la música. Su voz y su guitarra resonarán en nuestras memorias por siempre.
El siempre estará en nuestros corazones.

Francisco Xavier Sánchez Egas, 43, of Miami, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020, after a battle with cancer.
Francisco, Piqui or Pancho as his loved ones called him, was born on November 4, 1976, to Francisco Sánchez Herbozo and Maritza Egas Alvarez, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
After graduating from “Liceo Panamericano” school, in 1995, he went on to major in literature at “Universidad Católica de Guayaquil”.
In New year’s eve of 1989, in Ecuador, he met Noemi Garcia Jalil (Emi) when they were just teens. They fell in love however she left with her family to live in the United States. They were reunited in 2004, and shortly after the same year, they wed. They had two children, Santiago and Mateo.
Piqui was predeceased by his son Mateo. He is survived by his wife Emi, and son Santiago, by his father Francisco, his mother Maritza, his sister Pamela and his brothers David and Pablo.
Piqui lived a full life dedicated to his family, he was a loving husband, and a devoted father. He will always be remembered by his kindness, sense of humor, and his love for music. His voice and his guitar will resonate forever in our memory.
He will always be in our hearts.
