Francis's obituary

Francis Sheahan, 84, of St. Genevieve, Missouri, was called to his heavenly home on June 25, 2021, at his home in Ste Genevieve, Missouri. Francis was born on January 19, 1937 in Steven's Point, Wisconsin, to his parents Martha and Walter Sheahan.

Francis "Frank" Sheahan was an artist all his life. From a young age he became enamored by music and taught himself to play the piano. In school, his talent was recognized and he began classical training. Frank went on to be a professional classical pianist, working closely with some of the most prolific orchestras around, touring all over the world.

It was not just Frank's music that touched others. He and his first wife Ethel married on June 25, 1961, and soon after their first child, Gabriel, was born on April 3rd, 1962. Frank went on to be a father to four more children; Paula, Susanne, Thomas, and Weston Sheahan. His children recall a happy upbringing with Sunday church visits and many picnics at the park across the street. Frank's children and grandchildren kept a very close relationship all throughout their lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Francis is survived by his wife, Marlene; his children, Gabe, Paulette, Susanne, Thomas, and Weston; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Samuel, Ethan, Shawn, Eliza, Olivia, Bethany, and Xander. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Walter Sheahan, and his first wife, Ethel. His many close friends will miss him dearly, and his family is very thankful for them in this time.

Francis' funeral will be held on June 30th, 2021, at Ste Genevieve Catholic Church in Ste Genevieve, MO, at 1pm. Visitation with the family will be open from 11am until the funeral beginning, and attendees are welcomed and encouraged to remain for lunch after the funeral service, where friends and family will share stories about Frank and all of the lasting memories he has left with us.
