Francis “Ben" E. Hemond, age 48, of Ormond Beach, FL, died suddenly March 6, 2025. 

He was a husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and his newest title, grandpa. Ben was a native of St. Albans, VT and moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1998. Prior to moving to Florida, he served with the St. Albans Fire Department and had previously served with the U.S. Army Reserve.

A jack of all trades, Ben had conquered numerous skills in the construction industry. From pest control, to air conditioning & heating, to owning his own handyman service. He was passionate for hunting and fishing, never missed a Bears game and loved watching the Braves. A gun junkie with an impressive gun collection and could rattle off on history as if he was there. Compassion for animals held a large part of Ben's heart, from his beloved dogs to his newfound love of rabbits and chickens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Paulette Hemond. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jeannette E. Hemond; a daughter and her husband, Jacquelyn and Ian Eisner; a granddaughter, Josephine; 3 brothers, Bobby, Mike and Mark; 2 sisters, Carol and Cheryl; 2 very special mentors, Louie and Lorraine Robtoy; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
