Francis's obituary
Francis passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Corinth, MS on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the age of 69, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was an avid guitarist in his younger years and could be found singing a tune relevant to a conversation every now and then. Later in life, he found enjoyment in watching movies or playing board games, especially cribbage. He loved to laugh and tell jokes. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him.
Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Joseph DeLorenze II and Louisa Howe DeLorenze of Kent, WA.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kathleen Delores DeLorenze. They spent their 29 years together in Memphis, Tennessee, Natchez, MS, and finally settled in Corinth, MS about 14 years ago.
He is also survived by one son and two daughters: Angela DeLorenze of Munford, TN, Michael DeLorenze and wife Kimberly of Purvis, MS, and Gloria DeLorenze Robinson and husband, Michael of Munford, TN; and two granddaughters that he loved very much: Hailey Neal of Munford, TN and Brooke Williams of Vidalia, LA and two great grandchildren: Marilynn and Liam Jones of Vidalia, LA
He is also survived by his step children that he loved and regarded as his own children: Jerry Smith of Corinth, MS, Terry Smith (Yvonne) of Jackson, TN, Phillip Smith of FL, and Deborah Wiseman of Corinth, MS; 11 step grandchildren and a host of step great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings: Bruce DeLorenze (Sharon) of Puyallup, WA, Catherine Crocker (Tom) of Graham, WA, Donna DeLorenze of Graham, WA, Kevin DeLorenze (Emma) of Spokane, WA, and Duane DeLorenze of Kent, WA
Services are as follows:
UPDATED funeral arrangements.
Because of family maintaining the ashes, all proceedings will be held at the funeral home. He will still be honored by the VA, but all services and honors will be at the funeral home. Please feel free to bring some pictures of our loved one.
