Francis Leo Burke “Leo”, the son of the late Edmund Burke and Mary-Ann Burke (nee Copan). He was predeceased by his sister Loraine, his brothers Fredrick, Arthur, Eugene and is survived by his loving spouse Mary E. Burke (nee Murphy).

He was a loving husband, great-grandfather of 10, grandfather of 8, father of 4, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Leo was a happy gentle soul who was always in good humour and ready with interesting anecdotes. His story- telling was usually embellished with colourful and perhaps imaginary details. Good natured and always available to lend a helping hand or advise, Leo made our world a better place and will be immensely missed, but he is now extending his altruistic spirit in heaven.

He will be interred at his birthplace of Joggins, Nova Scotia at a later date as cremation has already taken place by Basic Funerals 2408 Haines Road Unit 2 | Mississauga ON L4Y 1Y6 / 877-229-7077
