Pete's obituary
He died late in the evening February 17th, 2021 in Lake Wylie South Carolina.
Most people don't know that "Pete" was not his real name. He was called Pete
because he looked so much like his father Peter Francis.
He had five sisters and one brother.
My thoughts on dad:
He was a cool cat.
Played first chair trumpet with the best of ‘em.
Cruised SoCal beaches in several convertibles.
Was a proud Marine.
Could run as fast as the wind.
Survived a lightening strike.
And dug Ann Margret.
He listened more than he spoke.
He gave more than he took.
He held tight to his faith.
And loved with all of his heart.
He loved to laugh and tell jokes and passed that on to me.
For that I am eternally grateful.
He was a sweet tender man that was tough as nails.
And of all the people in the world I got to be his only child,
what an honor and a privilege.
One of the very last things he said made me laugh out loud.
Me: Dad, how do you feel?
Dad: (barely audible) With my hands.
