The amazing life of Francine Gambino Sanchez began on December 16, 1952. Born in Rahway, New Jersey to the late Carl and Charlotte Gambino, Francine was the second of seven Gambino children; Alphonse, Carl (deceased), Trish, Charlene, Joseph, and Mary. In 1960, the Gambino Family migrated to the Peterstown neighborhood in Elizabeth, New Jersey where Francine attended Holy Rosary and formed a multitude of lifelong friendships.
Fran worked for Schering-Plough/Merck in Regulatory Affairs as a Submissions Specialist for 37 years. Francine was also a Deacon at Faith Fellowship/Epic Church. She started a career as a spiritual leader for the youth and spearheaded prayer meetings at JoAnne's Luncheonette in her beloved neighborhood of Peterstown. She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Choir and was a licensed minister and counselor through Covenant Ministry International. She was an esteemed graduate of the Advanced Christian Training School and Leadership Training Institute.
One of Fran's greatest joys was putting a smile on people's faces at the Clown Ministry. She was a dedicated educator in the Women Prison Ministry. Francine hosted international guests for the International Pastors Minister Conference and she was a friend, mentor, and source of encouragement for the Faith International Training School. Fran enjoyed spending her time attending spiritual developmental conferences and concerts with her “Dream Girls'. She also served as the president of the Elizabeth High School Parent Marching Band, where she was a mentor and a mother to the masses and was considered a “MOM” aka Mamasita to so many children.
Fran is survived by her devoted daughter Cynthia, her beloved son Christopher, her loving grandchildren Nicholas, Maiya, and Isabela, and her precious great grandsons Jace and Caiden and a host of family and friends.
