Frances's obituary
Frances passed in peace on March 29, 2021 at the age of 90 in Parker, CO. Frances was a loving mother and will always be cherished.
Frances was born in Pueblo, CO in 1930, and lived there until the age of 86 when she moved closer to family. She had a long career working for the Department of Defense at the Pueblo Army Depot and Fort Carson while raising her 3 children.
There is no love as pure, unconditional, and strong as a mother’s love. No one in our life will ever love us as our mother did, and we will miss that love every single day. She was devoted to her children, Gerald Vaughn (Sandra), William Vaughn (Clara), and LeeAnn Downey (Jesse). She was a proud grandmother to Breann Smith (Joshua) and Travis Downey (Laura.) She had three great-grandchildren, Kyson, McKaden and Brexley, whom she eagerly followed through pictures and stories, which gave her great pleasure.
She was quite handy and enjoyed doing home projects and taking care of her home in Pueblo. She was a voracious reader and had a burning desire to learn everything she could about everything! Her question asking knew no bounds.
A Mass will be held at The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 414 W. 11th Street, Pueblo, CO on Wednesday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m.
